Getting there

Here's how to reach Rifugio Alpenzu

Exit the motorway at Pont-Saint-Martin. At the Pont-Saint-Martin on the A5, turn right in the direction of Turin.
At the first roundabout turn left and follow the signs for the Gressoney valley.

You enter the town of Pont-Saint-Martin and after about 500 meters take the road that branches off to the right and continue along the regional road of Gressoney valley.

Go past the towns of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime and Gaby. Carry on along the valley for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the town of Gressoney-Saint-Jean.

Pass the town and continue on towards Gressoney-La-Trinité for a few kilometers until you reach the hamlet Chemonal.

From here on the left part of the path that leads you to the refuge in an hour.
