More infoExit the motorway at Pont-Saint-Martin. At the Pont-Saint-Martin on the A5, turn right in the direction of Turin.
At the first roundabout turn left and follow the signs for the Gressoney valley.
You enter the town of Pont-Saint-Martin and after about 500 meters take the road that branches off to the right and continue along the regional road of Gressoney valley.
Go past the towns of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime and Gaby. Carry on along the valley for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the town of Gressoney-Saint-Jean.
DEPARTURE FROM GRESSONEY ST JEAN
past the town, continue towards Gressoney-La-Trinité for a few kilometers until you reach the hamlet of Chemonal.From here on the left, just below the waterfall, starts the wide path n.6 which climbs steeply into the secular larch wood and which in about 45 minutes / hour leads you to the refuge covering about 400 meters in altitude.
DEPARTURE FROM GRESSONEY LA TRINITE 'past the town of Gressoney St Jean, continue to Gressoney La Trinitè. At the roundabout, before reaching the town center, the 1W path starts on the left. The walk is characterized by an alternation of ups and downs, now in the woods, now among the pastures and will lead you to the refuge in about two hours of walking. both walks offer a spectacular view of the Monte Rosa massif.
